Acenda connects to ShipStation in three ways, and only two of them sync stock. Stock always flows from ShipStation into Acenda. Acenda doesn't send inventory to ShipStation.
Compare the three connections
Connection | Orders, tracking, cancellations | Stock into Acenda |
ShipStation API key and secret (classic) | Yes | No |
ShipStation API key (ShipStation API, formerly ShipEngine) | Yes | Yes |
Acenda app in ShipStation | Yes. ShipStation pulls orders from Acenda. | Yes |
How stock sync works
ShipStation sends your active inventory, which is the stock level less open orders for each SKU.
Stock sync creates a warehouse in Acenda for the ShipStation inventory.
You turn on Acenda as a target in ShipStation's inventory sync settings. See How to integrate inventory from ShipStation with Acenda.
Note: If you connected with the classic API key and secret and want stock to sync, switch to the ShipStation API key connection or the Acenda app.
