TaxJar

Overview:

Your store natively integrates with TaxJar for automatic sales tax calculation.

To modify TaxJar see steps below:

Setup your TaxJar Account

1. Navigate to the TaxJar website.

2. Create a TaxJar account following the instructions on the TaxJar site.

3. Locate your TaxJar API Key.

4. Copy the API Key.

Add TaxJar to your store

1. First, give your store a Location by navigating to Settings > Locations.

   

2. Click on +New Item or edit your existing location by clicking Edit.

   Under the Description section, enter the following details:

   • Location Name: The name of your Business
   • Location Type: Choose an option from the drop-down menu
   • Description: A description of your business

   

   Under the Misc section, check the box next to Tax Nexus to activate sales taxes.

   

   Under the Location section fill out your business address.

   

3. Once you are finished, click Save.

4. From the dashboard, navigate to Settings > Site Settings.

   

5. Under the General tab, scroll down until you reach the TaxJar heading.

   Enter your TaxJar API Key in the space provided.

6. Click Save.

Enable TaxJar

1. Add a Custom Field under the Product drop-down and name it taxjar_code.

   

2. From the Dashboard, navigate to Products > Products.

   The Products Page Displays.

3. Search for and select a Product and click Edit.

4. Navigate to the Custom tab, scroll down the page and click on the TAXJAR header.

5. Click the drop-down and choose the category that best fits your product description.

   

6. Click Save.
