Create a Coupon Code

Overview:

This article will walk you through the process of creating a Coupon Code.

To create a Coupon Code follow the steps below:

1. From the dashboard click Marketing.

   

2. Then click Coupons.

   The Coupon page displays.

   

3. Click New Item.

   The New Coupon form displays.

   

4. Enter the Coupon details:

   • Name: An easy to identify name for the coupon. This is only for administrative purposes.
   • Description: Enter a coupon description.
   • Code: Enter a coupon code for your coupon e.g. SAVE20.
   • Number of times this coupon can be used: Select the No Limit checkbox if you want the coupons to have unlimited uses OR Uncheck and enter the number of times the coupon may be used.

   

5. Enter the Discount details:

   • Select the Discount Type from the drop-down:
     • Dollar Amount
     • Percentage
   • Enter the respective $ or % value.

   • Select how you want to apply the discount:

     

     

6. You can make custom Rules for your coupon by clicking Add rule
   . These are effectively conditions when the coupon is to be applied. Rules support regex.

   

7. Generate any number of One Time Use Codes and Export to CSV.

   

8. Enter the Date Rage:

   • Start Date
   • End Date
   • Never Expires: Select to make the coupon useable indefinitely

   

9. Enter the Status:

   • Active: The coupon will be active (as long as the date/time conditions are met).
   • Disabled: The coupon is disabled.

   Check Advanced Options:

   • Is a Global Discount: If selected, then the Coupon will be applied to carts without the need for a customer to enter a coupon code.
   • Cannot be used with other coupons: Prevents the coupon from being combined with other coupon codes.
10. Click Save.
