Why a Listing Fix Didn't Take

Fixed a listing but the error still shows? Learn when Acenda re-checks items, how Acenda and marketplace errors clear, and what to send Support.

You fixed a product or accepted a suggested fix, but the error is still showing. Often the fix is fine and the item just hasn't been checked again yet. This article explains when Acenda re-checks an item, how errors clear, and what to do if one stays.

Two kinds of listing errors

  • Acenda-side errors: before an item is sent, Acenda checks it against the marketplace's rules. These clear once the item passes a re-check.

  • Marketplace errors: after an item is sent, the marketplace reviews it and may reject it. These clear only after the marketplace reviews the resend.

Acenda tracks the two separately. You can see them on the item's Channel Status tab, which replaced the old Suggested Fixes tab. See What is Channel Status? for details.

What triggers a re-check

In most cases you don't need to ask for one. Acenda re-checks an item on its own when:

  • You edit the product, by hand or by import. The re-check usually starts within a few minutes.

  • You accept a suggested fix. Acenda queues a priority re-check of that item.

  • Mappings or templates change. These are picked up by a pass that runs every 2 hours. Saving a template doesn't trigger a re-check on its own.

If the re-check finds a change, Acenda sends the updated listing to the marketplace after the item has had about 5 minutes with no new edits.

An error that still shows right after you save is usually waiting for the next check. It doesn't mean the fix failed. Marketplace errors depend on the marketplace's own review, so their timing varies.

Common reasons a fix doesn't take

  • The value comes from the parent. A variation without its own value uses the parent's value. If you changed the variation only, the parent's old value may still be sent. Check the parent too.

  • A value is set directly on the listing. See the warning below.

  • The marketplace hasn't reviewed the resend yet. The fix was sent, but the marketplace error stays until the marketplace responds.

A value set on a listing overrides the product field. If a value was entered for a marketplace attribute on the listing (including an accepted suggested fix), changing the product field won't change what's sent. Update the value on the listing instead.

If the error is still there

Check the item's Channel Status tab to see which kind of error it is and which value is being sent. If you've made the fix and the error is still showing after a few hours, Contact Acenda Support and they can look into it. Support is available 9 AM to 5 PM PT, Monday through Friday, closed on major holidays. It helps to include:

  • The sales channel

  • The SKU. One example is enough if many items share the same error.

  • The exact error text

  • What you changed, and roughly when
